NSF [National Skills Fund]: Funding & Application
NSF offers bursaries and scholarships for those who match the requirements for bursiries and funding, The National Skills Fund (NSF) funding are for skills development initiatives that are identified by the National Skills Development Plan 2030 as national priorities.
The Skills Fund receives 20% of the skills development levy and interest earned on investements held at the public investment Corporation (PIC).
NSF Bursary Funding Sources
The NSF may also receive revenue from:
- Skills development levies collected and transferred to the National Skills Fund
- Money appropriated by Parliament
- Donations for the skills fund
- Money received from any other source
NSF Bursary Application
The NSF either issues a public open call requesting proposals or a closed call to targeted stakeholders.The public may expect an advertisement in the Sunday Times and/or City Press and uploaded onto the website.
