SRD October 2024 Grant Application - How to Apply
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) to receive SRD October 2024 Grant Application from qualfiied candidates. SRD, acronymn for Social Relief of Distress. They have provided financial assistance to citizens, residents, or special permit holders.
The Social Relief of Distress funding are however for eligible candidates. These are people who are citizens, resident or special permit holders, but do not receive other government support in the form of UIF benefits or NSFAS bursaries.
SRD October 2024 Grant Application Steps
In addition to the already-mentioned requirements, bank accounts of applicants should have less than R624 to be eligible for the R350 grant. There are verification checks made to this effect. To apply for the October SRD grant, follow these steps:
- Visit the SRD grant website.
- Select your citizenship status, can be found at the bottom of the webpage.
- Indicate whether "South African ID Holder" or "Asylum Seeker/Special Permit Holder."
- Locate the yellow bar labelled "Click here to apply online" under the relevant section ("How do I apply for this SRD Grant" or "Asylum Seekers and Special Permit Holders").
- Enter your mobile number and click "Send SMS."
- Verify by entering the one-time pin (OTP) sent by Sassa to your phone, then proceed with the prompts on the website to complete your application.
SRD October Grants Collection
Every approved applicant for October payments can receive their money in two ways. Your SRD grant can be paid directly into your bank account or collected from the supermarket. The supermarkets authorised to pay SRD Grants include Pick n Pay, Boxer, Checkers, USave, Shoprite, OK, and Spar.
